Energy Efficient Windows

Conserve Energy One Window At A Time

Do you have the AC blasting and it still feels like your home or business is cooling down? Or is it winter and you’re trying to stay warm, but it feels like your heat is escaping? It may be your windows. Energy efficient windows, also known as energy saving windows, are designed o prevent your heat or AC from escaping your home or business.

Energy Efficient Window Options:

  • Double Paned Windows: Two layers of glass that are sealed shut to prevent air from entering or escaping. Between these layers they are filled with different gasses to increase their efficiency.
  • Triple Paned Windows: Three layers of glass that are sealed shut to prevent air from entering or escaping. Between these layers they are filled with different gasses to increase their efficiency.
  • Low-E Glass Coatings: Low-emissivity coatings are designed to control the way heat energy from sunlight moves around your home or building. An exterior low-e coating prohibits the UV and infrared light from entering your home or business. With this option you can also add a slight tint to the windows that can block out the light from your home or business. This is typically used in a darker room like a theater.

In norther climates, where it is much colder throughout the year, the opposite is done. An interior low-e coating allows the heat energy from sunlight into your home, but it traps it inside and keeps your home or business warm during the coldest months of the year.
